Before the Visa Interview

Copy of at least 1 year valid passport must be submitted to Metropolitan Education
Fill out our simple Visa Application Form on our website.
Submit the payment of $650 (includes all fees)
5×5 biometric photograph must be attached to the application form
Application to a school is processed by Metropolitan Education
Schools provides the student acceptance letter and the I-20 document to Metropolitan Education
We submit the SEVIS (I-20) payment for you
We apply for the visa interview for you
We submit all the application fees to the consulate for you

Documents you must take with you to the interview:
Passport (Must be valid for at least 1 year)
1 passport photo (Biometric 5×5)
Your most recent school documents (Diplomas, transcripts, student card)
Bank letters/statements showing available funds for your studies and living costs
If sponsored, an affidavit of support and sponsor’s bank letters/statements
Must show up at least 30 minutes prior to your interview with all the required documents
Interview may last up to 2 hours, and you will be notified of the Acceptance or Denial immediately after the interview
After the Visa Interview
Consulate will mail your passport within 5 business days (may take up to 2 weeks) to your address (or to the nearest postal office – based on your country).
We recommend buying your tickets after you receive your passport with visa stamp
You may arrive to the U.S. up to 30 days before your school start date
You must submit your flight details to Metropolitan Education
If you choose our accomodation and airport pick-up services, please provide your flight details to us as soon as possible. You must receive a confirmation at least 1 week prior to your flight.
Full payment of the tuition is due 30 days prior to your school start date. You may make the payments directly to school, or to Metropolitan Education.
Please keep your I-20 and Passport with you until you arrive to the U.S.
Fill our the US Customs Declaration Form in the plane before landing
When asked for your U.S. address, please provide the address written on your I-20
We recommend having your mobile service to be active for international use in case of an emergency
Health insurance is required for students. You may purchase your insurance through your school, or through Metropolitan Education
Your driver’s license is valid for 6 months (May vary by the state)
We highly recommend to arrive to school on time on the first day to receive the proper orientation
